Lisa Park Boush, is Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Affairs in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Connecticut as well as Professor of Geosciences in the Department of Geosciences.  She was founding Head of the new Department of Geosciences (2019-2020) after being Director of the Center for Integrative Geosciences (2014-2019) at UCONN. Dr. Park Boush’s research interests include Earth system processes and the reconstruction of past climate history and its impact on biological, coastal and lacustrine ecosystems.  She is a fellow of The Geological Society of America (GSA) and fellow of The Paleontological Society.  She currently serves as co-Chair of the Scientific Advisory Group (SAG) of the International Continental Drilling Program (ICDP) and is current Chair of the Limnogeology Division of GSA.  In addition, Park Boush served for three years as a Program Officer at the National Science Foundation in the Division of Earth Science within the Geoscience Directorate (2010-2013) where she received a Director’s Award for Collaborative Integration for her role as an EarthCube Program Officer.  She is a Research Associate at the National Museum of Natural History (Smithsonian Institution) and has served as Associate Editor for the journal Palaios.  She is currently a member of the Paleobiology Database Executive Committee and serves on the Continental Scientific Drilling Coordination Office (CSDCO) Policy Committee as well as the University of Texas CT Scanning Facility Advisory Board.  She is past Secretary of the Paleontological Society. Dr. Park Boush holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Geosciences, both from the University of Arizona.
